The Mid-South Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers
The Mid-South Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers is a branch of the national SFPE organization. This organization aims to advance the art and science of fire protection engineering and its associated fields, to maintain a high ethical standard among its members, and to foster fire protection engineering education.
Our goals are to:
- Create and foster an open relationship with all individuals and groups who seek to advance regional and national issues related to Fire Prevention and Protection.
- Provide a forum to link architects, engineers, contractors, fire prevention officials, civic leaders, regulatory agencies, risk management, insurance underwriters, etc. relative to fire protection.
- Support local, regional, national, and international efforts regarding fire protection.
- Cooperate and work with other engineering and professional groups to advance their understanding of Fire Protection related fields.
- Provide an informational source for local fire prevention agencies when faced with fire protection engineering questions.
- Strive to become an all inclusive organization accepting individuals with an interest in Fire Protection Engineering, fire prevention, and public safety.
- Provide educational opportunities to those interested in Fire Protection Engineering and associated fire prevention fields.
- Support local initiatives to enhance public safety.
